Below are a few of the pets that I have become to know better through my massage services.  They are all pretty special to me and would just like to share them with you.

Xena is a 12 pound miniature poodle, bouncy, happy and full of energy.  A bit distracted during her first massage, but now, whenever she sees me, jumps into my lap and buries herself into my hand for another session.

Spike is a Mexican Hairless weighing in at about 20 lbs.  He is hesitant about having anyone touch him, but is getting more and more comfortable with the massage process with each session.

Kika is a Hairy Hairless, sweet and sensitive.  She is quiet and settles right in to massage.  A very mild-mannered and manageable personality.

Sassy and Big Bull - Big Bull (right) is a magnificent 175 pound French Mastiff. Noble, quiet, thoughtful, always politely comes up to say, "Aloha."  He has a massive frame (of course) and always seems appreciative of a little massage from time to time.  He will ask for it and just walks off when he has had enough.  The gentle giant.

Sassy (left), one of eight pups, is warm hearted with a playful spirit. At a 120 pounds a French Mastiff, even well meaning and sweet, can be a bit overwhelming.  She appears to be getting more aware of her powerful nature and is responding more sensitively to her fragile surrounds.

Mica- Mica is a sweet and affectionate strong spirited English Bulldog, 5 years old and weighing in about 50lbs.  Mica has a severe dysplasia problem and is currently receiving acupuncture treatments along with massage and exercise on a regular basis.  Mica is receiving wonderful care.  I'll up date her progress here from time to time.

In instances of bone and joint issues, I have been suggesting that caretakers consider administering a supplement formula of glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM to their pet (check with your vet first). Personally, it has worked wonders for issues I have with my own joint pain and related bone issues and is also fomulated especially for pets. There are plenty of resources on the Internet regarding these supplements and I believe that

Mitzi and Roxi - Mitzi (L) and Roxi (R), Miniature Schnauzers, are lively, extremely inquisitive, and very playful.  Mitzi found that massage for her was desirable anytime, anyplace, for as long as possible. Roxi however eased into massage a little more slowly and responded more to a little than a lot.  They're all different, but they all like it.

Hoku -  Hoku showed up one day on the doorstep and decided it was his new home.  Frisky and mischievious, Hoku appears to be mellowing out with time, lots of love from his caretaker and a bit of neck and shoulder massage once in a while.  One happy and healthy dog!

Tsaile.  From the first massage there was to be a profound shift in our relationship. It was as though the encounter had awakened a sense of trust and an understanding of a deep bond that we had not share before.  That's along way for a dog from the 'bush' to come.
